Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the treatment take?
The eyelash extensions treatment takes 2h for the first appointment (for women) or 1h30 minutes (for men), including the initial consultation to assess and choose the best look for your eyes and face; and 1h30 minutes (women) or 1h (men) for maintenance, required every 3-4 weeks.
Please be aware, we do not infill on other technicians’ work!
When and where can I have a treatment?
IMACULA offers home service in London only, with availability Monday to Sunday. For VIP or abroad appointments please contact us directly.
How long do the lashes last?
The lashes are attached one by one to your natural lashes, 0.5 to 1mm away from the root. They can last for up to six weeks, but we recommend maintenance every 3-4 weeks to keep them looking perfect at all times.
What should I expect during treatment?
The treatment is extremely relaxing, most clients fall asleep. You will lie down with your eyes closed whilst the IMACULA lash specialist will apply the extensions, one by one until a full set is achieved.
Will it damage my natural lashes?
When applied correctly and using the highest quality products, the extensions don’t damage the natural lashes. IMACULA eyelash extensions treatment has been developed to suit a wide range of eye shapes and natural lashes. If the recommended aftercare is followed, the extensions will last longer and won’t damage the natural lashes.
What do I need to do to maintain the lashes?
The most important thing to remember is not to use oily products on the lashes as the oil will break the bond of the adhesive. Please avoid rubbing your eyes as this could pull out the extensions alongside the natural lashes.
Will it look fake?
The eyelash extensions are specifically tailored to match the eyes and natural lashes of the client. At IMACULA we pride ourselves with offering the most natural looking eyelash extensions, whilst adding length and volume but keeping the natural lashes healthy.
Can I wash my face?
Yes, of course. It is recommended to wash your face and eyes daily as wearing the extensions means more debris can stay on your lashes. A proper eyes hygiene is part of the aftercare and ensures better retention.
What happens if I want to remove them? Can I do that myself?
We strongly recommend having the extensions removed by a professional to avoid damaging the natural lashes.
Do I need a patch test?
The products we use do not touch the skin. The vapours of the glue could still cause allergic reactions thou. Because of this, we recommend having a few lashes applied and leaving it for 24h to see if any allergy occurs.
What is the difference between classic, 2D and Russian volume lashes and why is the cost different?
Classic lashes - one extension applied on one natural lash
2D - 2 extensions applied on one natural lash
Russian volume - between 3 to 6 very fine extensions applied to one natural lash
The cost differs because of the amount of product used and because Russian volume lashes take slightly more time than classic and 2D lashes.
